🍎 Sign in with Apple

"Continue with Apple" now sits alongside Google and email on the sign-in page. If you already use Apple sign-in on your iPhone or iPad, the web app signs you straight into the same account.

🇫🇷 The web app now speaks French

Every page — Today, Tasks, Notes, Lists, Journal, planning and settings — is now available in French, right down to the keyboard-shortcut cheat sheet and the colour scheme names. We follow your browser's language automatically, and you can switch any time from the new language picker in settings.

⚙️ A proper home for your settings

Your preferences now live in one dialog, reachable from anywhere in the app. Set the day your week starts, choose the lists new tasks and notes are filed into, pick your display mode and colour scheme — now matching the mobile app — manage notifications, and look after your account, including sending us feedback and catching up on what's new.

🧹 Filters only when you need them

The Done filter on Tasks and the Archived filter on Notes now appear only when there's actually something behind them, keeping the toolbars clean.

🛟 Nothing fails silently any more

If completing a task, creating an item or deleting an image doesn't reach the server, we now say so — and put things back the way they were — instead of quietly pretending it worked.

🗣️ Better screen reader support

Screen readers now announce search result counts, loading and saving states, and note image thumbnails, upload progress and lightbox navigation. Dropdowns read out their current selection, and delete confirmations are read in full.

🎨 Sharper contrast across themes

We fixed washed-out placeholder text, made focus indicators consistently visible, and improved text contrast in several themes — including clearer calendar days from adjacent months.

Keyboard shortcuts no longer fire while a dialog is open, and Escape now steps out of note editing before it closes the panel.

🗂️ Collapsible sections

Sections now fold away across the app — on Today, in your task and list views, and while you plan — so you can hide what you're not working on. Collapsed sections show a count of what's still inside, so you always know what's left without expanding them.

➕ Quicker ways to add a task

Empty sections now offer an "Add a task" row you can click straight into, and every list section can add a task right from its header — no need to scroll to the bottom of the list.

🌅 A redesigned start to your day

Today's planning and review entry points have a fresh look. On a day with nothing planned yet, illustrated cards invite you to set your focus for the day ahead or reflect on how it went.

📌 Pinned notes

Keep the notes you reach for most at the very top of the Notes tab. Open any note's menu and turn on "Pin note to the top" — pinned notes lift into a "Pinned" strip above the grid, just like pinned lists. Your pins sync across your devices, and on notes in a shared list they're personal to you, so pinning one changes nothing for the people you share with.

🗂️ Default lists

Pick a default list for new tasks, and a separate one for new notes, in Settings → Defaults. From then on, anything you create from Today, the Tasks or Notes tab, a widget or a quick action lands in that list automatically — so quick capture stays quick and still ends up where you want it. Creating from inside a specific list still takes priority, and the pre-filled list is always editable before you save.

Focus on what matters today

🎯 Quick Filters: Today now shows list and tag chips below each day, derived from that day's tasks. Tap one (or several) to narrow the view to one area of life — work, errands, a specific project. You can turn the chips off entirely from the new overflow menu if you'd rather a cleaner header.

↕️ More Sort Options: Completed tasks on the Today view now have three sort modes — most recently completed, earliest completed first, and Title A–Z — accessed from the overflow menu.

Handy upgrades

📋 Duplicate with Subtasks: Duplicating a task that has subtasks now opens a sheet asking whether to bring the subtasks along too. The duplicated subtasks start fresh — status reset to open — while keeping their original order under the new parent.

📅 Start of Week, Your Way: A new "Start of week" setting under Settings → Appearance lets you pick Sunday, Monday, or "system" (which uses your device language's default — Monday for French, Sunday for British English). The choice flows through calendars, the weekly planning view, the date pickers, and the recurring-task day-of-week picker.

You can now schedule tasks outside of planning

Simply create a new task, or open an existing one, and look for the new option to add it to your day. Choose the day you intend to do this on, and optionally set a reminder.

You can now choose a time of day for your tasks

Optimise your daily schedule by selecting the best time of day for each task. This personalised approach can help you maximise productivity and focus!

• You can now snooze reminder notifications (thanks for the feedback!)
• We improved the reminder menu to improve user experience. In addition, you can now set a reminder on the day a task has been planned for.
• If reminder has been set in the past for a task, we now show a warning on the task screen

Improved list selection

We have improved the experience of selecting lists for your tasks.

You'll now see your pinned and recent lists at the top of the list selection menu – this makes choosing lists for your tasks a breeze 😍

You are now also able to choose a section within your chosen list in the same flow.

Last but not the least, you can now create a list or a section directly from within the list selection menu. We absolutely love this as it's a massive time saver!

Markdown support for notes and reflections

We now support Markdown for formatting your notes and reflections.

In this initial release, we currently support these options (more options coming soon):

You can now quickly create tasks and notes from your home screen by adding these two new widgets.

The widget for today's planned tasks has also been improved, so you can now open a task by tapping it on the widget.

You can now add a widget to your home screen to see your today's planned tasks.

Plan you day anytime by tapping on the "Plan" button on the widget.

• The look of the bottom navigation tabs has been revamped! They now follow Material Design 3 on Android, and are beautifully translucent on iOS 😍

Use this to keep all your related notes and tasks together in one place.

Tap the new "Add to list" button above the note title and select the list you want to add it to.

Once a note has been added to a list, you can find it in the "Notes" tab within the list.

You can share your list with others to share your notes with them!

This release is all about improving your app experience and fixing bugs. Here are the top highlights:

• You can now keep completed tasks at their current position within a list, and not move them to the "Done" section. Simply edit the list and toggle the option "Keep completed tasks separate".
• Completed tasks within the "Done" section are now sorted in the order of completion, making it easier to undo accidental completion.
• Today screen is scrollable again.
• Pinned lists look better.

We have improved how images are displayed on notes. Images will now be loaded quicker, and we'll show a placeholder to indicate that images are getting loaded.

You can now add photos to your notes 🏞️

Choose from your photo library, or use your camera, to add photos to your notes, and have these available on all your devices.

Improvements

📅 When displaying tasks that are due within a week, we now show the due date as the day of the week. No more mental math to figure out on which day a task is due!

🗄️ We also show you the list that tasks belong to, so you can quickly identify tasks from a particular list without having to open each task individually!

This release focuses on learning your preferences and needs by asking a few simple questions in the app.

We'll use these to personalise your experience, and show you more relevant features and content over time.

Your answers to these questions are optional, but highly recommended in order for us to provide the best possible experience as we continue to add more features to the app.

This release expands the planning feature to add the week planner (requires PRO subscription).

Now you can plan and prioritise your tasks over the entire week. It’s also handy in case you want to plan a specific day in advance, such as when planning for tomorrow at the end of today.

While planning the week, you can easily move tasks between days using the handy directional buttons. Use these to evenly distribute your workload, so you don’t end up with too many tasks on a single day!

Pressing on app notifications on Android 12+ devices should now open the app again as usual.

This release brings various improvements and fixes to make your experience better.

Improvements

• When choosing tasks to add to your day during planning, we now show you any tasks that you had previously planned but didn't complete, at the top.

• You can now add tasks to a section directly from with a list! Look for the '+' button next to each section.

Fixes

• While we don't recommend having more than 5 tasks on your day while planning, sometimes you may just have that extra motivation to do more! In those cases, you couldn't scroll to see all tasks that are on your day if you have more tasks than the screen can show at once. We fixed this, so scrolling should now work :)

• If you had a lot of sections in a list, you couldn't scroll through them when managing sections or when choosing a section for a task. We fixed this, so you can keep adding sections!

This release introduces a new feature – "day planning".

Now you can plan your day to help you stay focused on what really matters today, everyday! We'll help you choose the tasks that you want to do today, and pick a highlight for the day to help you prioritise your most impactful task.

And if your priorities change, you can replan anytime throughout the day!

This release continues the theme of improving the usability of the app.

More specifically, this fixes colors on the sign-in screen for users who have enabled dark-mode in the Android settings.

Use these in combination to easily create lists with pre-populated tasks, handy for creating lists such as holiday packing lists where you'd usually have similar things to pack as your previous holiday's packing list.

You can now create reminders that are relative to due date of tasks!

Have repeating tasks (also a recently released feature) that need reminding? You can set these reminders in order to remind you on, or before, the due dates of the repeated tasks.

Among other features, you can now pin your most frequently used lists to the top! Just open a list and tap on the pin button near the top.

This release introduces a new feature – "repeating tasks".

Keep on top of your regular, repetitive tasks by adding repeat schedules to your tasks. Just add a due date to your tasks and pick your ideal repeat schedule.

Once you mark a repeating task as done, a new one will be created automatically, with the next due date according to the repeat schedule.

This release introduces a new feature – "task location" (requires PRO subscription)

Using this, you can add location or physical address to tasks. Once a location has been added to a task, a map would appear on the task's screen, with a button to open it on your system's maps app.

When can saving a location be useful?

Keep forgetting from where you wanted to buy that special gift? Now you can create a task that will remind you to buy the gift and add the store's location to it. This way, you will have everything you need when its time to buy the gift!

This release is all about improvements and polishes.

• We have added an action button to reminder notifications, to allow directly marking a task as done without opening the app! Additionally, tapping on the reminder notification itself will now open the app and take you straight to that task, rather than showing all tasks.

• You can now request features and report bugs directly from within the app. Head over to app settings and look for the button to send feedback!

This release adds new onboarding screens to our sign-up journey, to help our new users learn about key features of Do Everything.

You can now choose to receive notifications for activity within your shared lists! Always know when someone adds something to your shared grocery list :)

To turn these on, head over to the app settings and enable notifications for shared lists.

You can now initiate deletion of your account yourself from within the app. Head over to the app settings and look for the option "Delete account".

We have also revamped the "Settings" screen to show your user profile!

This release expands upon the "shared lists" feature introduced in the previous release.

• You can now leave from a shared list that you joined in the past

• List owners can remove other people from their list

• Anyone who has joined a shared list can now see who else has joined the list

• You can now also copy the link to your shared list to clipboard, making it easier to share it with others
