Connect your AI assistant to Do Everything

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about your day, your tasks, your lists, and your notes — and capture new ones — by connecting your AI assistant directly to Do Everything.

What you can do

Once connected, your AI assistant can see your tasks, lists, and notes and answer questions like:

  • "What's on my plate today?"
  • "Which tasks in my Work list are overdue?"
  • "Find my note about the trip to Lisbon."

With Do Everything PRO, it can also capture for you:

  • "Add a task to renew my passport, due next Friday."
  • "Save this as a note in my Recipes list."

Your journal and planning data are never shared with the connector — it can only see tasks, lists, notes, and tags. It cannot edit, complete, or delete anything.

Connect Claude

  1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings → Connectors.

  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste this URL:

    https://mcp.doeverything.app/mcp

  3. Click Connect and sign in with your Do Everything account.

  4. Review what Claude is asking for. Reading your tasks and notes is always included; you can untick Create tasks and notes if you prefer read-only access.

  5. Start a new chat and ask about your day.

Connect ChatGPT

ChatGPT currently supports custom connectors in developer mode:

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode.
  2. Add a connector with the URL https://mcp.doeverything.app/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your Do Everything account and approve access.

These steps may shift as ChatGPT's connector support evolves.

Free vs PRO

Reading your tasks, lists, and notes is free. Creating tasks and notes from your AI assistant is part of Do Everything PRO — if you ask your assistant to create something without PRO, it will let you know how to upgrade.

Privacy and control

  • Your assistant only ever sees your own data — the connection is tied to your account and protected by the same sign-in you use in the app.
  • You choose at connection time whether the assistant may create items, and you can decline while keeping read access.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your AI assistant's settings. We're also working on managing connections from inside the app.

Troubleshooting

  • "Rate limit exceeded" — the connector allows a generous number of requests per minute; wait a minute and try again.
  • The assistant says it can't edit or complete tasks — that's by design in this first version. Creating is supported (with PRO); editing and completing are on the way.
  • Connection fails — remove the connector and add it again to restart the sign-in flow.
