Getting started with Do Everything

A quick introduction to the Do Everything app — what it does, how it's organised, and how to get up and running.

What is Do Everything?

Do Everything is a productivity app for iOS and Android that brings your tasks, lists, notes, and daily journal into one place. Whether you are planning your day, capturing ideas, or reflecting on how things went, everything lives in a single app.

Core features

  • Tasks — Create tasks with due dates, reminders, recurring schedules, subtasks, and tags. Browse, sort, and group them however you like.
  • Lists — Organise tasks and notes into lists with sections. Share lists with others to collaborate in real time.
  • Planning — Plan your day by choosing which tasks to focus on, assign them to time slots, and highlight your most important task.
  • Notes — Capture ideas with markdown formatting, images, and location tagging. Browse your notes in a visual grid.
  • Journal — Reflect on your day with a guided four-step flow: review your tasks, log how you feel, practise gratitude, and write a journal entry.
  • Tags — Tag tasks, notes, and journal entries to organise and filter across features.

Setting up the app

  1. Download Do Everything from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Open the app and follow the onboarding screens.
  3. Create an account to back up your data and sync across devices, or tap Create account later to explore first.

We recommend creating an account straight away. Without one, your data is stored only on your device and will be lost if you switch or lose it.

Finding your way around

The main tabs at the bottom of the screen give you quick access to the core areas of the app:

  • Today — Your daily overview showing planned tasks, today's reflection, and upcoming items.
  • Tasks — Browse all your tasks with sorting, grouping, and filtering options.
  • Notes — View and search your notes in a masonry grid.
  • Journal — Read through your past reflections and start a new one.

Use the + button (floating action button) to quickly create a new task, note, or journal entry from anywhere in the app.

What to do next

  • Create your first task — Tap the + button and choose Task to get started.
  • Set up a list — Head to the Lists section to create your first list and add tasks or notes to it.
  • Plan your day — Open the Today tab and tap Plan your day to schedule tasks into time slots.
  • Write a reflection — At the end of the day, open the Journal tab and start your first daily reflection.
