Search and filter notes
Find the notes you need by searching, filtering by list or tag, and sorting your notes view.
Searching notes
Use the search bar at the top of the Notes tab to find notes by title or content. Search is case-insensitive and updates in real time as you type.
Filtering notes
Filters narrow down your notes view to show only what you are looking for.
- Tap the Filter button on the Notes tab.
- Choose one or both filter types:
- Filter by list — Show only notes belonging to a specific list.
- Filter by tags — Show only notes with specific tags.
- Tap Apply to see your filtered results.
To clear your filters, tap the Filter button again and remove your selections.
Sorting notes
You can change the order in which notes are displayed.
- Tap the Sort button.
- Choose a sort option:
- Title — Alphabetical order.
- Creation date — Newest notes first.
- Last updated — Most recently edited notes first.
Viewing active and archived notes
When you have archived notes, an Active / Archived tab appears at the top of the notes view.
- Active — Shows your current notes (default).
- Archived — Shows notes you have archived.
This tab only appears when you have at least one archived note.
How notes are displayed
Notes are shown in a visual masonry grid. Each note card includes:
- A thumbnail of the first image (if one is attached).
- The note title (or "Untitled note" if none is set).
- A three-line preview of the content.
- Location address (if set).
- Tag chips for any tags applied to the note.
The grid layout makes it easy to scan your notes visually and find what you need at a glance.
